Anne Johnston

Anne is passionate about the power of education and making a difference for children. An experienced primary school headteacher of 13 years in a challenging area, she actively supported the LA and colleague school leaders through her work as Chair of her local area and involvement in various working parties and committees, including Schools Forum. She held the position of NAHT Branch Secretary until her retirement from headship but remained actively involved with the branch. She created the first Networked Learning Community in Knowsley, writing a successful bid to bring £300k to support the work of her local network of schools over a three year period.

Anne has managed NWAPH activity since its inception in May 2015, putting her creativity, communication and networking skills to good use. As Operational Manager, she is responsible for liaison with members, marketing, and ensuring the Association fulfils its aims and responsibilities. She is the key person making contact with external partners and organisations, influencing engagement strategies and organising NWAPH meetings.
